The room was pretty spacious, and it felt nice and chill. The beds were super comfy, and we had a really good night's sleep. The staff was really friendly and made the place feel special 😊.

We have stayed in this incredibly beautiful hotel for 2 nights, everything was wonderful, the location was marvellous to Bay area. Location: the property was just next door to the train station, and Matsushima. Dessert restaurant Shokado Kashiten located 1 mi away was a nice surprise...

The room was nicely maintained and had comfortable beds, central heating, television, and a sitting area. The location is great, close to a stream and Matsushima's main attractions, temple, and the bay. everything was perfect.

The room was cozy and comfortable with a nice view, making me feel at home and relaxed after a long day of exploring. The air conditioning and the flat-screen TV with satellite channels were great additions, providing entertainment and keeping me cool during my stay. I loved the private bathroom with the hot tub, it was a luxurious touch that added to the overall comfort of my stay. The free in-room WiFi was a lifesaver, allowing me to stay connected and share my amazing experience with friends and family.

Personally, I would have preferred not having a shared bathroom, but I understand that some guests might not mind.

The location was perfect, just a 4-6 minute walk from Hosen-ji Temple. The area was really quiet and close to the main temple, the bay, and the center of town with Matsushima's main attractions. I booked a room with a toilet and bath.

Celebrating Xmas at a Japanese Inn was an authentic experience full of surprises. The owners were super friendly and gave us some nice welcome gifts. We enjoyed the tatami-matted floors, futons, and the complimentary coffee was awesome. The breakfast was delicious, especially the local dishes. We loved being in a central location to the hot springs and experiencing the traditional way of life in this beautiful old-style Japanese inn.

The hosts were absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and giving us surprise quizzes and little gifts. The onsen bath was small but clean, providing much-needed relaxation in the cold winter. The two adorable poodles were the most adorable and friendly welcome team! The hotel's location was perfect, situated near the local fish market and JR station. The authentic old-world Japanese ryokan vibe was mind-blowing, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and delicious breakfast. The owners were super helpful, providing GREAT recommendations and creating a picturesque setting with a beautiful garden. The futons were incredibly comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was exceptional, receiving rave reviews from my partner, and the owners even made me a complimentary small breakfast. I highly recommend having breakfast at least once during your stay.

We stayed at a traditional ryokan during Thanksgiving break. The local foods for breakfast were really impressive and delicious. The room was spacious and we enjoyed the hot bath. the location was perfect as it was within walking distance to two train stations.

The elevator was out of order and we were not informed prior to our arrival. This posed as an issue as we had several pieces of luggage with us.

Spacious tatami rooms with good lighting. Friendly hosts gave helpful recommendations. Close to main attractions and train station. Enjoyed hot baths and cute dogs. Amenities like fridge and store nearby.

This hotel is a hidden gem! The location couldn't be better - it's within walking distance to Matsushima's main attractions and just a stone's throw away from the train station. The owners and their staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making you feel right at home. The rooms are beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, and the onsen is a delightful bonus. And the breakfast? Absolutely scrumptious!
